Would you like to “endow” your annual gift to the APA of Missouri permanently and create a legacy of support for our mission and the animals we care for? You can do exactly that by remembering the APA of Missouri in your estate planning.

The most common type of legacy gift is made through inclusion in a will. A simple bequest can be made leaving a percentage or specific dollar amount from your estate. The APA of Missouri can receive gifts of stock, life insurance, retirement plans and property as well as cash bequests.

Sample bequest language:

I, (donor name), bequeath to the Animal Protective Association of Missouri, located in the County of St. Louis in the State of Missouri, the sum of (dollar amount or percentage) to be used for the general purposes of said organization.

Other planned giving options include charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts and charitable lead trusts. Planned giving may help you reduce or eliminate some tax liabilities. Please speak to your tax advisor or attorney to discuss the best options for you and your family.
