Materials needed:
Felt
Yarn
Kid-safe magic marker
Small pom-pom
Carpet thread (or light yard)
Poly Fill stuffing
Cat nip
Needles (craft or embroidery)
Scissors
Cut felt out using the
pattern
.
Fold the material on the fold line.
Cut a piece of yarn about 12 inches long. Thread the yarn through a needle, thread yarn through the middle of the pom pom. Bring ends of thread together and make a large knot on the end. Put the knotted end of the yarn in the fold line at the “fanny” area of the mouse.
Sew mouse together (by hand) around edge using heavy thread or light yarn. Stitch until almost completely closed. Make sure the tail is secured by the knot. (You can use a running stitch or a overstitch to sew the mouse)
Stuff the mouse with stuffing and cat nip and finish sewing.
Sew on ears (smaller pieces of felt) and whiskers (yarn). Color in eyes with magic marker.
