Shared concern for animals and similar educational goals led the APA of Missouri to work with three other local animal organizations to develop a series of elementary level curricula. Our aim is to provide tools for teaching students about animals and how to live with them – another step in the APA mission of bringing people and pets together.
This creative group of lessons and activities meet national, state and local student performance standards. They cover six broad areas of animal welfare; each has a set of five lessons written for K-3 and five lessons for Grades 4-6.
