An Invaluable Resource for Elementary Teachers
As part of our ongoing commitment to help educate our children about responsible pet ownership and the broader issues of animal welfare, the APA of Missouri is proud to be a sponsor of the
KIND News Adopt-a-Classroom program.

KIND News is an award-winning classroom newspaper for children in grades K-6, read by over a million children each year. Published by the National Association for Humane and Environmental Education (NAHEE) in 3 age-appropriate editions, it is delivered to classrooms monthly from September through May. A teacher’s guide with suggestions for integrating the stories, puzzles and project ideas into regular classroom activities is included with each issue.
Complete information about
KIND News and other programs of NAHEE is available
online.
The regular subscription price of the newspaper is $30 yearly and you may order it on the NAHEE website. The APA’s education department sponsors subscriptions for up to 50 classrooms each year. For information on how to submit an application for the APA Adopt-a-Classroom program, please contact Becky Krueger at
