Job Description
Position Title: Homeward Bound Mobile Adoption Unit Driver
Accountable to: Director of Operations
Supervises: No one
Job Summary: Safely drive the APA’s 37’ Coachman RV to various events throughout the community from March-October.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1) Prepare Homeward Bound (HB) for mobile adoption and community event outings
2) Maintain records of needed repairs and maintenance of vehicle
3) Maintains and replenishes equipment and supplies
4) Ability to handle all sizes of dogs, cats, kittens and puppies
5) Assist Mobile Adoptions Coordinator during adoption events
6) Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of HB
7) Other duties as requested
Position Requirements:
1. Ability to drive Class A recreational vehicle
2. Appropriate licensing as needed
3. Friendly, customer service demeanor for internal and external customers
4. Effective oral and written communication skills
5. Attention to detail and follow through
6. Ability to work cooperatively with staff, donors, volunteers and general public
7. Efficient organizational skills
8. Ability to work independently and part of a team
9. Ability to maintain composure and professional conduct during stressful situations
Physical Qualifications (including lifting and pushing):
1. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for periods of five hours.
Additional Qualifications (optional):
1. Expressed interest and enthusiasm for animal welfare industry
