Adoptions 2.0

In the last decade or so, we’ve noticed that at some rescues and shelters the adoption process has become so cumbersome that they are actually hindering their own missions by creating an unwelcome environment. Strict requirements and interrogation-style questions leave potential adopters with a bad taste in their mouths.
The APA’s new process, currently known as “Adoptions 2.0,” is much more client-friendly.
“Only
20% of pet-owners get their pets from shelters,” says Steve Kaufman, General Manager of the APA. “Are we losing other potential adopters because of the burden of the adoption process? We hope that 2.0 will invite more potential adopters to check us out, and that ultimately more shelter animals will get
to go to new homes.”
The next time you are considering adopting a new friend, the APA will be happy to provide you with a pleasant and positive adoption experience.
